The natural pools were stunning, like swimming in a volcanic fortress! The ocean views from the hotel's restaurant were to die for. The Salgueiro Souvenir Store had some lovely trinkets.

Just loved the view of the half-built and derelict building from my balcony, such a treat for the eyes!

The Hotel Salgueiro in Porto Moniz was a lovely place for a getaway. The decorations were charming, with beautiful artwork and cozy seating areas throughout the hotel. As a senior woman, I appreciated the easy accessibility of the hotel, with well-maintained ramps and handrails. It made navigating the hotel a breeze for me.

While my stay at Hotel Salgueiro was mostly delightful, I would have enjoyed a more extensive selection of activities tailored to senior guests. It would have been wonderful to have organized outings or gentle exercise classes available, specifically designed for older individuals.

Great location, just steps away from beautiful natural pools and the ocean. Friendly staff and accommodating to dietary restrictions. Spacious and clean rooms with a balcony. Enjoyed the ocean sounds at night. Convenient parking nearby. a comfortable stay at a reasonable price.

Really dont understand why is their restaurant recommended by Michelin guide, it was really nothing special ... even netxtdoor restaurant is much better I'd say. I was disappointed.

The guestrooms at Hotel Salgueiro were super cozy and perfect for a good night's sleep. Our room had a desk, balcony/terrace, telephone, TV with satellite/cable, and the best part was the amazing sea view! It made waking up in the morning feel so refreshing and relaxing.

Some might find the sea view distracting while working.

Our room at Hotel Salgueiro had a balcony overlooking a quiet street, and the location was perfect, right across from the famous lava pools. The free breakfast was delicious and the hotel restaurant served excellent Madeiran meals. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and we had no trouble finding parking. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The peaceful atmosphere made it the perfect place to relax and unwind with friends. We had a blast exploring Porto Moniz, which is ideal for hiking and water sports. The hotel's location allowed us to easily access all the fun activities the area has to offer. We especially loved the solarium and the opportunity to soak up the sun. The rooms were spacious and clean, providing a comfortable space to recharge after a long day of adventure. we had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend Salgueiro as a base for young, adventurous travelers.

If I had to mention one thing, it would be that the hotel could have had more options for young party-goers in terms of entertainment. While we enjoyed the serene atmosphere for relaxation, it would have been even more fun to have some lively activities or events targeted towards young people.
